Newborn Fluff!

Five months ago we embarked on the cloth diapering adventure with our 3 boys in hopes we could get it all figured out before number 4's arrival in December.

Well, they need to come with a warning label because I am now addicted. After contemplation on whether we should just build our OS stash and wait for number 4 to grow into them or get some newborn diapers I came to the decision I cannot resist those adorable tiny fluffy things.

Last week was full of nonstop fluff mail and now the diapers are all officially prepped and of course photographed. We added in tons of OS diapers but I felt I only needed to take a photo of the newbie cloth :)

I plan to review these as we use them, but for now I need to just share the cuteness and hey it kind of gives a size comparison.

How adorable are those?! I know it is a pretty small stash but I could not justify buying tons of diapers that would only last the first few weeks and we will probably add some more in as we figure out what we like.

Top Row: Softbums Echo and Omni shells (OS,birth-35lbs), Sloomb Happy Little Cloud fitted sz small (up to 16lbs), and extras of the mini stay dry pods for the Softbums in hopes that we will be able to use the shells more than once

Next Row: Blueberry Newborn Simplex (up to 16lbs), Tots Bots Tiny Fit (up to 14lbs), Bumgenius Newborn AIO (up to 12lbs), and The Little Bee Co. Bitty Bee Changed Microfleece Newborn AIO (up to 12lbs)

Next Row: All Grovia Newborn AIOs "old style" (up to 12lbs)

Front Row: All Rumparooz Little Joeys (up to 12lbs)

I was really shocked by how small the Softbums were able to be sized down and will be adding those we already had for our bigger boys to the newborn stash for the time being. I think we will be investing in more of those since they are OS and last up to 35lbs. The price tag on the Softbums and Sloomb were the highest but they also have a much wider size range and therefore will hopefully be well worth it.

The BG newborn diaper was the cheapest of these and it also seems to be the trimmest and as much as I love BG, the lowest quality of all the newborn diapers. Of course, I cannot judge quality until we have a baby to try it out on and since newborn diapers are not used long it should be just fine.

I cannot wait to get these on his little bum and see how adorable a newbie is in fluff!

You MUST try out Not Your Mother's Hair Products...check out their website here http://www.nymbrands.com/.
I received their "She's a Tease" Volumizing Hairspray via Influenster, which was perfect because I have some of the thinnest, flat hair ever!
I just sprayed a little at the roots before going out, and looked like I actually had some body and style to my hair the rest of evening.
In Love :)

My New Favorite Snack Bar - SkinnyGirl Daily "On the Go Bar"

I received this product from Influenster and gobbled it up as soon as I opened my SweetHeart VoxBox 2013! It was beyond delicious, I received a Blue Berry and Greek Yogurt bar and it satisfied my indulgent side, as well as my healthy side. I was excited to see they were Gluten-Free as well b/c my son and I are on a GF diet and it can be really hard to find delicious snacks like these!

I highly recommend trying out SkinnyGirl Daily "On the Go Bars" and I know I will be trying out any other products I find by them, because I was very impressed :)

Why does everyone make GF out to be so bad?

Today has been a pretty normal day, except for my husband being home sick which made it 100x easier. Rayden had OT and Speech, but since daddy was home we got to mix it up a little and go alone. It was so nice not to struggle with my younger 2 (not that I don't love there company) for the 2 hour wait. Rayden and I stuck to our guns with our diet but daddy was craving chocolate so we tried out our Bob's Red Mill Brownie Mix GF and it was delicious! I was shocked by their soft gooey texture; couldn't even tell they were not made with wheat flour :) So far we have loved all of our gluten free mixes and recipes, I guess some people just have trouble finding the good stuff because I have always heard how hard the diet is.

We have been working on potty training, with trips to the bathroom every 15 minutes and let me tell you it is exhausting! Rayden always fights us the first few times and will sit in the bathroom screaming or throwing things for about 10 minutes but the rest of the day he acts excited. He is such a goofball, until today he would often have wet underwear before making in there but today he has gone over an hour dry and is going in without a timer! I am so glad we have a genius ABA therapist teaching us then ins and outs and that my hubs was willing to help out so we could stick to our guns.

Well little Cameron is climbing on me and little Liam is staring at me smiling, so I think it is time I avert my attention to these little princes

I think I will start using this more...

Well Friends,

I think it is time I make this blog active. We have embarked on a Gluten-Free diet and soon need to add in Casein-Free and Soy-free just to see if it helps my son and I. We both have digestive problems, but as the GFCFSF diet usually indicates my son is Autistic as well. I usually just brush off diets as a bunch of hype, but since it was suggested to see if it is the problem behind my digestive issues I have decided to just see if it helps him at all. Of course, if it makes any difference, which I doubt (and so far it has not), I will consult his doctor. We know for a fact he is sensitive to soy, and was marked as having a casein allergy as an infant but after the age of 1 he was far so we attributed his infantile ongoing screaming episodes to his Autism. The military has taken good care of us and he has finally started speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA, and sees a child psychologist on a regular basis. We are also relocating to a new one-story home because he has a tendency to climb in his window and also run away. We also got word that he should be able to start a pre-school for developmentally delayed, so we are pretty excited and busy. As I may have mentioned I am a  Psychology student and have officially decided to go to Grad-School and pursue a career in ABA...I'm super stoked to finally know what I want :)

My other two boys are just growing up too fast! They were concerned that my 18-month-old was not speaking enough but after a thorough evaluation there is no worry about developmental delay! My 16-month-old is crawling, babbling, and laughing so it appears he is developmental normal too. We love all of our boys so much but it is nice to know that they will not have to have the struggles their older brother has. Of course with all these therapies my oldest, Rayden, is doing wonderful and they have hopes that he will continue to become more and more high functioning :)

Hopefully I can post some of my recipes on here or tips for other people needing to avoid certain allergens!

Take care, Kara.
